TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Wendy’s Cat Sanctuary Trust website, including donations, wishlist links, contact forms, practical support enquiries, building material offers and any other information provided through this site.

By using this website, making a donation, purchasing a wishlist item, or contacting us through the website, you agree to these terms.

Who we are

Wendy’s Cat Sanctuary Trust is a registered New Zealand charity caring for cats who need safety, shelter, food, veterinary care and ongoing support.

Registered charity number: CC64489
Website: wendyscatsanctuary.com
Email: care@wendyscatsanctuary.com

Donations

Donations made to Wendy’s Cat Sanctuary Trust are used to support the care of the cats and the ongoing operation and development of the sanctuary.

This may include food, litter, flea and worm treatment, bedding, veterinary care, desexing, medication, safe spaces, catio and building materials, heating, repairs, maintenance, transport and other sanctuary needs.

Donations may be made by card through our website or by bank transfer, where those options are available.

Online card donations are processed securely through Stripe and/or the donation tools connected to our website. We do not store your full card details on our website.

One-off and recurring donations

If you choose to make a one-off donation, your donation will be processed at the time you submit it.

If you choose to make a recurring donation, your donation will continue at the frequency you select until it is cancelled.

You can contact us at care@wendyscatsanctuary.com if you need help with a recurring donation.

Sponsorship

From time to time, Wendy’s Cat Sanctuary Trust may offer sponsorship options, such as sponsoring a cat, contributing toward ongoing sanctuary care, or providing business or material sponsorship.

Sponsorship contributions are used to support the care of the cats and the ongoing needs of the sanctuary, including food, litter, flea and worm treatment, bedding, veterinary care, safe spaces, building materials and other care needs.

Unless specifically agreed in writing, sponsorship does not give ownership, decision-making rights, visitation rights, or control over the care of any cat or sanctuary activity.

Any public acknowledgement of sponsors, including names, business names, logos, links or other recognition, will be agreed with us first.

Wendy’s Cat Sanctuary Trust may update, pause, change or remove sponsorship options as the needs of the sanctuary change.

Sponsorship enquiries can be sent to: care@wendyscatsanctuary.com

Donation receipts

We aim to provide receipts for donations where donor details are supplied.

Please make sure the details you provide are correct so we can issue receipts accurately.

Donation receipts may include your name, donation amount, donation date, receipt details, Wendy’s Cat Sanctuary Trust’s charity registration number, IRD number, and other information required for donation record-keeping.

Refunds

Because donations are gifts made to support the sanctuary, we generally do not provide refunds for change of mind.

We may consider a refund if:

      • a donation was made in error
      • the wrong amount was entered
      • there was a duplicate payment
      • there was an unauthorised or fraudulent card transaction
      • a recurring donation continued after a valid cancellation request
      • there are exceptional circumstances

Refund requests should be made as soon as possible by contacting: care@wendyscatsanctuary.com

If a refund is approved, it will usually be returned to the original payment method where possible.

Any bank, card or processing fees may be deducted where applicable.

Wishlist items and product links

Our Wishlist and Wishlist Options pages include items we use, recommend, or may need for the cats in our care.

Product links are provided as a guide and may direct you to preferred suppliers or retailers where the item is available. These may include suppliers such as Petdirect, Petstock, VetPost, Pet PA, The Warehouse, Kmart or other retailers.

Prices, stock, sizing, product details and suppliers may change without notice.

We may purchase from the supplier that has the most suitable item available at the best price.

Some products, including flea and worm treatments, healthcare products, food, bedding, litter and building materials, may need to be chosen based on the cats’ current needs.

Please contact us before purchasing weight-based treatments or specialised items if you are unsure which option is most needed.

Flea, worm and healthcare products

Flea, worm and healthcare products are selected according to the cats’ age, weight, health and individual care needs.

Information on the website about these products is provided to help supporters understand what we use or may need. It is not veterinary advice.

If you are unsure which product or size to purchase, please contact us first.

Material donations

We may accept practical items or building materials where they are suitable, safe and useful for the sanctuary.

If you are in Northland and have leftover building materials from a project, we are grateful for good-quality timber, framing, decking, plywood, mesh, roofing, fixings, pavers or other useful materials that may help us create safe spaces for the cats.

Please contact us first before dropping anything off, so we can make sure the materials are suitable and able to be used.

We are unable to accept damaged, rotten, unsafe, unsuitable or heavily treated materials.

Practical support

If you offer practical support, time, skills, transport, materials, building help or any other assistance, we may contact you to discuss whether the support is suitable and needed at that time.

Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee that we will be able to accept the offer of help.

For the safety of the cats, the sanctuary space and the people involved, all practical support must be agreed with us first.

Veterinary and care information

Information on this website is provided for general sanctuary and support purposes only.

Nothing on this website is veterinary advice.

Any health, feeding, treatment or care decisions for the cats are made based on the needs of the individual cats and, where needed, veterinary guidance.
